Run Disk Labeller (DOS 3.3) Online

HOW TO USE DISK LABELLER

When the DOS 3.3 disk is booted, a directory listing of the program disk will be shown. To start the program, type "RUN DISK LABELLER 1.0" in UPPER CASE, without the quotes. The main screen will be shown, prompting you to insert the disk to be labelled into drive 1.

Insert a disk to be labelled in your 5-1/4" Drive 1 and press any key. The program will ask if you want prompting. If you answer 'Y' it will show you each file name it finds and ask if you want to include that file on the label. After it has read all of the filenames, Disk Labeller will prompt you for the disk name. The default is "DISK VOLUME <volume number>". Type a new disk name or press the Enter key to accept the default. You will then be prompted to make sure the printer is ready and press a key to print the label or press the ESC key to cancel printing and start over. To end the program, press the ESC key at the initial prompt to insert a disk.

The printer codes used are for the Epson MX/FX/RX printer series. They can be changed by editing line 1340 of the Applesoft code.

This page uses the ActiveGS ActiveX control from the Free Tools Association. ActiveGS is a fully functional Apple ][GS emulator, based on the KEGS Apple IIgs Emulator by Kent Dickey. Thanks go out to both of them for making this possible.
